Winners of Diamond Medals

And they call some of these people "retarded?"...

A few years ago, at the Seattle Special Olympics, nine contestants,
all physically or mentally disabled, assembled at the starting line
for the 100-yard dash.

At the gun, they all started out, not exactly in a dash, but with a
relish to run the race to the finish and win. All, that is, except
one little boy who stumbled on the asphalt, tumbled over a couple of
times, and began to cry.

The other eight heard the boy cry. They slowed down and looked back.
Then they all turned around and went back. Every one of them.

One girl with Down's Syndrome bent down and kissed him and said:
"This will make it better." Then all nine linked arms and walked
together to the finish line.

Everyone in the stadium stood, and the cheering went on for several
minutes. People who were there are still telling the story.

Why? Because deep down we know this one thing: What matters in this
life is more than winning for ourselves. What matters in this life
is helping others win, even if it means slowing down and changing
our course.

Source Anonymous One of my friends, let's call him Jose, is one of those guys who doesn't even need to say anything and people will just feel comfortable in his presence. He is an amazingly compassionate guy, who will flat out tell you that his purpose in life is to bring more beauty on this planet. They know it all

We are all potential liars , pretentious characters ; even the most truthful ones among us. This is because we are trying to hide our true feelings, our true thoughts and present them to the world in a way they would like to see or the way we would like them to understand. This is true for almost all of us, though the level of pretension and presentation may differ enormously from person to person. When we present our created truth to others, successfully, it feels good about being able to fool them into believing it. This works fine in some cases and people do believe what is presented to them. This may be a case when we are dealing with either strangers, ignorant or dumb people.
